TASTING NOTES

Tasting Notes: The oldest Gewürztraminer vines in the Pacific Northwest and perhaps the US combined with the best year we have seen at this vineyard have combined to create a truly inspiring wine. When first opened aromas of minerals, lychee, roses, cashews, hawthorn blossom, river rocks and spice all rise out of the glass. A striking sense of minerality runs through the ripeness and binds the aromatics together. On the palate the wine is young, tight, intense and a little wild. There is an understated richness and heft, but the minerality and acidity again run through the wine and give it cut and definition. Oily and viscous without being heavy and tiring the wine lingers far into the long finish.
